27. 5. 2015, 6pm, Artist Talk with Kate MccGwire, London

Venue: UCL, Department of History of Art, 21 Gordon Square, London WC1E 6BT, room 3/4

Join us this evening for a talk by artist Kate MccGwire.Kate MccGwire’s practice explores uncanny formations using ethically sourced feathers. This way, she investigates the way we conceive the world. She does this by appealing to our senses and our reason, and by drawing on materials capable of embodying an unexpected way of seeing, feeling and thinking. The finished work has a consistent ‘otherness’ to it that places it beyond our experience of the world, poised on a threshold between the parameters that define everyday reality.
